Shika was an ordinary Indian girl. She was born in a rich family of Jat’s in Punjab. She had younger brother and sister. She was an innocent girl who wants to live her life in her own way. Her parents also had not stopped her from doing all this. Her parents had provided all the things of necessity to her. She just put finger on the thing and that thing was provided to her. She had not seen any sacristy of money in her life. It was the story of time when she had just completed her boards of intermediate and joined college for further studies. This was her first experience of coed. She was amazed to see so many boys and girls in the college. Here in college the classes were much bigger than her school. So far she doesn’t have much interaction with boys. However, here in college every girl was busy with some boy. Initially she wondered why these people waste their study time. One day when was moving out of the class, then a boy came to her and gave her books left behind by her. This was Ravi an average looking boy from her class. She remembered that she had caught Ravi many times seeing her in the class. She thanked Ravi and left the college. But a strange attraction for Ravi started coming in her mind. For few days she started giving smile to Ravi when he saw her. Main turning point came at the time of youth festival in college. Both of them got chance to participate in the same play on Romeo Juliet. All these things helped Ravi and Shika coming more near to each others. Ravi was fearful of porposing to Shika due his financial condition. He know that he was not in position to accept any kind of personalized wedding favors from Shika family because it can heart Ravi’s self esteem. Moreover, it is not sure that the family of Shika will accept their marriage proposal or not. He has the burden of his family on his shoulders and he had to opt for higher studies to fulfill his ambitions. Shika also realized this hard fact when her cousin sister was beaten to death for marring a boy of other caste. Both of them were matured in this small age and did not want to spoil the life of each other. So they decided to disappear in this world as unknown to each other.
