Women President and Women of India

Finally today, Mrs. Pratibha Patil is sworn in as the first women president of India. The main highlight in this whole episode is “women” word. Political class is presenting this win of Mrs. Pratibha Patil as respect to the women of India. However on the other hand situation of the women in India is becoming more and more worst day by day. Do we can hope that situation will change after Madam Pratibha Patil occupying the chair of President? For most of women this is a just another change and they are not hopeful of much change. Even when nation was busy in the functions of new president then on the other girl child was killed and a minor was raped in New Delhi.
