In the recent times, there is a jump in the number of women committing suicides in the Defence forces of India. There could be a worrying sign for the Indian armed forces which already has very less numbers of women serving in it. Mostly, Indian army has remained dominated with the males and this culture is still very much prominent in the Indian army. Army has ordered an enquiry in to the possible reasons of women army officer committing suicide, however, many experts believe that the major reason behind the increase in number of suicides among the women officer is due to lack of support provided for women soldiers in the army.
